Trial operation

We will release the app to the store and start trial operation from October 1, 2021 (Friday).
Anyone enrolled in Kanazawa University who has a Kanazawa University ID can use it (the “digital ID card function” only supports student ID cards during trial operation).

Kanazawa University ID App

Development and discussions are underway to install identification cards such as “driver’s license” and “my number card” on smartphones, and the world is heading toward the era of “personal authentication using smartphones.” We have also developed the “Kanazawa University ID App” (Android / iPhone) centered on the “identification card” function as part of the digital campus concept in anticipation of the future data-driven society.

 

 

Restrictions

• As of October 2021, only “student ID” will be provided.
• As of October 2021, digital ID is defined as “a copy of a student ID card. This is in consideration of the recognition of “personal authentication by smartphone” and the completion and diffusion rate of the application.
• Students will continue to be obliged to carry their “plastic” student ID cards. When presenting their digital ID, they must also be able to present their “plastic” student ID upon request.

Linkage with My Number Card (planned)

• In the future, we plan to link this application with the “My Number Card” using the “My Key ID”. Therefore, we recommend that you obtain your My Number card (plastic card with photo) as early as possible
