1.Explanation of the digital ID

The “Digital ID” available on the Kanazawa University ID app is an official system provided by the university.
The following sample explains the features and information displayed on the ID.

  • The digital ID will be displayed once the app is launched and the Kanazawa University ID and password are authenticated.
  • The ID is invalid if the time display (seconds) and the University logo do not flash.
  • The background color is light blue for regular students and white for non-regular students.

2. Important information for university students

The digital ID is only to be used as a “copy of your student identification card”. When presenting your digital ID, you must also carry your original “plastic student ID”, and be able to present it upon request when necessary.

3.To those who are presented with a digital ID

  • The digital ID available on the Kanazawa University app is an official system offered by the university.
  • The ID is invalid if the time display (seconds) and the University logo do not flash.
  • Students are also required to carry their original “plastic student ID” when using their digital ID. If in doubt, please request that the student present their “plastic student ID”.

4.Digital ID system

  • The Kanazawa University ID app is certified by “Kanazawa University Single Sign-On (KU-SSO)”.
  • Data concerning enrolled students and the university administration system is closely linked on KU-SSO to ensure strict user management. The digital ID cannot be displayed on their smartphone if the individual is not a student of Kanazawa University.
