異分野研究探査
本学では,自身の研究分野と異なる研究室において,一定の期間研究を実施(ラボローテーション)することで,研究に対する視野を広げると共に新たな発想や研究手法を修得することを目的に,全修士・博士前期課程学生(医薬保健学総合研究科(博士前期課程)保健学専攻助産学分野を除く)を対象にラボローテーションを実施します。
原則として,1年次のQ1及びQ2(10月期入学者は,入学翌年度のQ1及びQ2)のインターバル及び夏季休業中(Q2終了直後の平日)に,2か所の研究室をローテーションします。標準時間数は1研究室につき概ね23時間です。
ラボローテーション先は以下の2つのカテゴリーからそれぞれ選択してください。

※ 医薬保健学総合研究科保健学専攻,法学研究科法学・政治学専攻及び人間社会環境研究科経済学専攻・地域創造学専攻短期在学型(1年)の社会人学生(大学院設置基準第14条に基づく教育方法の特例適用者)並びに新学術創成研究科融合科学共同専攻においては別途実施する。

大学院GS基盤科目「異分野研究探査」でラボローテーションをするにあたって,以下の事項を遵守してください。
1. ラボローテーション中は,研究等に専念し,有意義な経験となるよう真摯に取り組むこと
2. ラボローテーション中は,受入教員の指示に従うこと
3. ラボローテーション先で取り扱う知的財産や科学技術上の情報・機密等を,SNSや掲示板等への書き込み等も含め外部に一切漏洩しないこと
4. 過失によりラボローテーション先に損害を与えた時は,直ちに受入教員及び主任指導教員に報告すること

Laboratory Rotation
Kanazawa University offers laboratory rotations for all students belong to Master’s Course/Master’s Level Section of Integrated Course (excluding the Field of Midwifery, Division of Health Sciences (Master’s Level Section of Integrated Course), Graduate School of Medical Sciences). Benefits to conducting rotations with different laboratories include more opportunities to broaden research perspective and to gain new ideas and research methods.
In principle, students can rotate between two laboratories during the interval between Q1 and Q2 and during the summer vacation (weekdays right after the end of Q2) . The standard number of hours is approximately 23 hours per laboratory.
Please select a preferred host laboratory from each of the following two categories.

Confirm if you have taken out the following student insurances. Both are compulsory when you enroll at Kanazawa University. |
Refer to the syllabus about the acceptance requirements and the maximum number of accepted students by faculty of preferred host laboratories. After consulting with your supervisor, select host laboratories. No need to obtain consent from faculty of your preferred host laboratories. | |
Course Registration Period (For those enrolled in Apr: Q2 of the 1st year, |
Register “Laboratory Rotation Ⅰ” and “Laboratory Rotation Ⅱ”. From each category, students can register up to five courses offered by faculty of preferred host laboratories. If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, a lottery system will be used to determine which students are admitted. |
Confirmation on Lottery Results | Confirm lottery results for “Laboratory Rotation Ⅰ” and “Laboratory Rotation Ⅱ”. |
Course Registration Correction Period Q2: 0:30 p.m. May. 24-29, 2024 |
In case host laboratories not successfully allocated, register available laboratories and faculties during correction period (first come, first served). After correction period, host laboratories may be changed for not having met the requirements. |
For those enrolled in Apr: Q1 and Q2 of the 1st year (For those enrolled in Oct: Q2 in the year following admission) |
Laboratory Rotation (Conduct research in two laboratories) Use public transportation when commuting to host laboratory if located at a different campus. You cannot commute by car even with a valid parking permit from home campus. |
After Completion | Submit the Report on Completion of “Laboratory Rotation” Course by e-mail to each faculty of host laboratories within 7 days after completion. |

Matters to be Observed
You shall comply with the following items during “Laboratory Rotation” of GS Basic Course for Postgraduates.
1. During the laboratory rotation, you shall concentrate on research and strive for meaningful experiences.
2. During the laboratory rotation, you shall follow the instructions of the host supervisor.
3. You shall not leak any scientific and technological, confidential information obtained through laboratory rotation to any outside parties including SNS or internet bulletin boards.
4. You shall immediately report to the host supervisor if any damage caused to the host laboratory due to negligence
